In our office, we understand that everyone's needs and expectations about orthodontics are different. That's why we take great care to give you the individual treatment you deserve.
- Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of our friendly appointment coordinators, Suzanne, Janet and Charlene.
- Next, you will meet with one of our highly experienced treatment coordinators, Karen, Tracy and Janet. Your personal treatment coordinator will give you a tour of our office and prepare you for your visit with Dr. Cohen.
- Diagnostic digital photographs, panoramic and cephlometric x-rays will be taken before you see Dr. Cohen.
- Dr. Cohen will review your medical and dental history. He will do a thorough exam and determine your need for treatment.
- Please allow approximately 1 hour for your first visit in our office. Dr. Cohen and one of our treatment coordinators will be happy to answer any concerns you have at this appointment.
The first orthodontic exam does not always result in a recommendation for immediate treatment. After evaluating a child, Dr. Cohen may simply want to check them periodically while the permanent teeth erupt and the jaws and face continue to grow.
During this period, we will place your child in "Kidz Club" a growth guidance program where they will be closely monitored to determine the appropriate time for braces. Members of this special club receive their very own membership card. They will also be included in special office events and contests.
